Dalin is the Sports Presenter on Good Hope FM weekday breakfast show; The Big Breakfast, which is hosted by radio veteran Stan Mars from 6am – 9am.
Oliver’s passion for the performance arts was triggered in 2010 when he won the UCT leg of Good Hope FM’s Campus DJ Search. A few years later the radio bug bit and he ditched the chalk board for a microphone and the airwaves.
His journey as a radio jock started in 2013 when Good Hope FM signed him straight out of University as the Sports Presenter on the Lunch Time Show which was hosted by Stan Mars.
After two years in the hot seat he was moved to the Breakfast Show and no longer had the luxury of sleeping in. Instead, he had the luxury of donning the hat of Breakfast Show Sports Presenter on South Africa’s oldest commercial music and lifestyle radio station.
In 2017, the station saw a gap in the market and made the exciting decision of giving him and fellow comedian Carl Weber a weekly comedy radio show, Happy Hour. It ran for three successful years, taking place every Monday from 11am to 12pm as the first dedicated weekday daytime comedy show on a Western Cape based commercial radio station.
The show tackled a host of topics to keep listeners entertained such as comedy raps, spoofs, local and international comedy happenings as well as local and international news. It was also recognised by the South African Comedy industry with a nomination for the 2018 Savanna Comics’ Choice Awards in the THE COMICS’ PEN AWARD category. It was a two for one special at absolutely no cost that made everyone’s day 50 shades lighter.
