On the Radio
His journey as a radio jock started in 2013 when Good Hope FM signed him straight out of University as the Sports Presenter on the Lunch Time Show which was hosted by Stan Mars.
After two years in the hot seat he was moved to the Breakfast Show and no longer had the luxury of sleeping in. Instead, he had the luxury of donning the hat of Breakfast Show Sports Presenter on South Africa’s oldest commercial music and lifestyle radio station from 6am – 9am.
Dan Corder is currently the captain of the ship as host with Sandra Rosenberg on news on the show that plays the best morning music on your radio. The team launch your weekday with the biggest carpool choir karoake in the Cape, the Traffic Treffer and has more big laughs, more unforgettable stories, and more electrifying energy than anything else on the dial.
In 2017, the station saw a gap in the market and made the exciting decision of giving him and fellow comedian Carl Weber a weekly comedy radio show, Happy Hour. It takes place every Monday from 11am to 12pm and is into its third year as the first dedicated weekday daytime comedy show on a Western Cape based commercial radio station.
The show tackles a host of topics to keep listeners entertained such as comedy raps, spoofs, local and international comedy happenings as well as local and international news.. Although in its infancy stages, the show has been recognised by the South African Comedy industry with a nomination for the 2018 Savanna Comics’ Choice Awards in the THE COMICS’ PEN AWARD category. It’s a two for one special at absolutely no cost that will make your day 50 shades lighter.
